Cox Email Going Away?

I heard from a friend recently that he had been notified that Cox was shutting down their email services and he needed to find an alternative provider. I am not finding anything about that on my account. Is this true for the Oklahoma City Oklahoma area?

    If your friend is violating Cox email policy, Cox could terminate his service.  Other than this, I haven't read anything.  Could your friend provide his reference?
