Consistently inconsistent connectivity not WifI

Here in South Orange County CA I'm running Gigablast with an unlimited plan.  I'm currently directly connected to the router over a 15' CAT 6E network cable.  Internet service is consistently a problem.  Can't use the Chat on support and have pretty much given up.  Frankly, I can't wait until 5G is available and I can end my service with Cox.   Looking for suggestions that I haven't come up with yet.  A router restart doesn't help - the jitter and speeds vary widely throughout the day.

  • @Steadfast, The modem is up and running with a good signal and I do not see any unusual latency/packet loss from this end. What speeds are you getting? -Allan, Cox Support Forums Moderator.
