Can't Upload Avatar

I just created a forum account due to an email issue I having and I can't even upload my favorite avatar. The error message is completely useless!

Is there some reason I can't upload a JPEG? Is there a size or dimension limit that is not being displayed?

    Hi Darkwater23,

    When attempting to upload or view uploaded files (such as avatars) you may run into errors instead of being able to view and/or download the file. An error when uploading avatars or files typically indicates a permissions problem. Review file permission configuration.
