Can't receive emails in my mac's outlook account

Can somebody please list the steps to fix my mac's outlook so that it receives and sends emails.  The cox webmail works fine, it's outlook that now does not work.  This is a result of something Cox h...

delete the account, re-create with auto setup.

    Bearone2, Could you be a little more specific on how to do this?  That is, steps to delete, and steps to autosetup.  I'm not a computer whiz.

      i'm not a mac person but within oulook on my pc, file/account settings/highlight account/remove.

      file/account settings/new, let it setup automatically after you enter login + password.
