Try resetting the password to something never used (to sync all caches) and switch all devices using that account to IMAP using SSL on port 993 and TLS 1.2(NOT startTLS) for SMTP.cox.net on port 465. That should work, you just might have some problems sending/recieving very secure emails like bank password resets.
