Adding Yahoo transitioned email to Gmail
Too bad Cox didn't think about us users that use Gmail as their email client. We are royally screwed. Cox supports only answer is call Yahoo Premium support. Who is paying for that Cox?

The app PW is the key
Sorry to bump an old thread, but this simply does not work with Gmail Desktop. Even using the app PW, it seems like Gmail does not like the "@cox.net" portion of the username.
Has anyone successfully gotten Gmail desktop to work with the transitioned Yahoo/Cox email settings?
*edit* I seem to have gotten it working - I first deleted the cox.net email account from my Gmail settings and then re-added it, using my full cox email address as the username and a Yahoo-generated app password for the password.
So far, so good...
