As the subject says, we have been getting a heavy load of spam mail lately and it seems the more I send to the spam blocker the more I get. Whats the deal?

Cox has outsourced their email to a unknown provider in Texas. I would guess, as part of this, the anti-spam system is different know as part of that change. Did you see it start to happen around December 7th?

Same with me, and December 7 sounds very reasonable.. It was 5-6 per day, now 10-20 and constantly growing. They all carry a similar personalized greeting link to me. What I have asked Cox to block was all email with the link "greeting". No response.

They have been in the process of doing it for 2-3 years, but it wasn't until the beginning of January that they flipped the switch. There have been posts here in the last year where moderators will fix email problems by "moving them to a different server". As someone that knows a lot about email servers..this confused me, until I realize what they meant was moving people on/off the outsourced email platform. This says to me Cox new about the outsourcing for a long time and intentional tried to hide it.
If only I could find out who Cox outsourced the email to. Then I could find what anti-spam filters they subscribe to, but as of right now, Cox isn't saying a peep.
PS. Dare a moderator to give some info on this. Double dog dare! Who control's our email now?

Yep same issue here, started sometime in December, they all look very similar too just spam for different services/products and no matter how many I block or unsub from they never stop coming or even decrease.

My wife has noticed this lately too she is getting really annoyed as am I. I think I'm going to have to stop using my Cox email and switch everything over to my Gmail account where I get rarely a single spam per week.
