Closed captioning won't turn off
My closed captioning is stuck on. I have turned it on and off multiple times via the Settings menu and even when it says it's off, it's on. I tried your Cable Reset feature but it said it wasn't available to me.

Do you still see the CC when you bring up the guide? You might want to make sure CC isn't enabled on your actual TV.

I can see the Closed Captioning On and Off menu items when I bring up the guide. CC stays on whether I select On or Off. I have confirmed that the CC buttons on both my Cox remote and my regular TV remote are not on.
Cox finds new ways to annoy me (or worse) every day.

Why wouldn't the rep investigate the Reset feature not being available to the originator? The CC and nonavailability are symptoms of a bigger problem.

I finally called tech support and was able to do the automated reset of the cable box that way - although it took more than half an hour for it to complete. The captions are gone.
