Short answer: *72 wait for dial-tone then call your cell phone. As soon as you answer your cell phone, the forwarding should be in place. *73 to turn off. For more info see support article.

If you pay for Call Forwarding, hit *72. You will get a dial tone. Dial your cell number.
Cox changed the way this works. In the old days you had to answer on the cell phone. You no longer have to do that. You will hear a short beep-beep which means that you have successfully forwarded. YOur cell phone won't ring at all.
