Using my yahoo migrated cox email with Mac OS is a disaster
Cox sending us to yahoo was the worst thing ever! Yahoo mail does not work well with Mac Mail. I have had to reset my account 100's of times. Once I think I have it working again it stops working. I constatantly cannot send outgoing messages. I have tried every opltion listed to try and fix it to no avail. On 5/12 I called to put my TV and Internet on Seasonal Hold until October. I had to call 4 times because 3 times they said they were transferring me to someone else who could help but instead cut me off and hung up. 1 person said they didn’t even know what Seasonal Hold was and then hung up while allegedly transferring. I wasted 45 minutes calling over and over, being cut off and getting transferred to the wrong people who didn’t know how to do it. So on the 4th call I demanded the support person do a “warm transfer” where he stayed on the line with me so he didn’t hang up, made him write down my phone # if I did get cut off and finally got transferred to someone who set up the dates for the start and finish of a Seasonal Hold. But wait, it gets worse, I am hoping they effect the Seasonal Hold, not sure about anything with these Mopes, but as of 5/12 COX cancelled my DVR subscription after 11 years which wiped out all my saved recordings, cancelled all my upcoming recordings and made it impossible to record a new program, even manually by pushing the red button. We found that out the next day when we discovered all our programs were gone and could not record anything. Luckily a Tech Support person was able to restore my DVR service last night but it took over 30 minutes and multiple refreshes which meant the program we were watching went dark. I believe COX has a log of all my calls and knows who answered and therefore knows who cancelled my DVR subscription. Not only does COX need to train their service people much better but the idiot who cancelled my DVR needs to be sent to work for the Federal Gov’t where this person would fit in with other mindless minions doing almost nothing.Slamon473 hours agoVisitor4Views0likes1CommentMesh system with Cox Panoramic WiFi router?
Just moved to Cox today from Verizon 5G home, was using a TP-Link Deco mesh system with the Verizon router. Can I use the same setup with the Cox Panoramic router? If so, should I match the network names between the two or have one network on the Pano and a different network on the mesh? waited 22 minutes on chat for a live representative. Gave up and phoned. Held for 15 minutes and spoke to someone who hung up when I said I was enquiring about cancelling. Who can I contact to have the external coaxial cable moved or removed from my house? I terminated my services with Cox some time ago but the line they ran when I did have service from them has started to sag down to the point that I walk into it trying to walk across my deck. I would like the line removed or at very least re run so it is much higher than it is. Does anyone know or have any details of what is going on and why? Normally in my area we have had little to almost no issues with the internet. ATT Fiber came in to the area a few months ago and small outages here and there. Starting yesterday we have been without internet for almost 2 days (off and on). Nothing has changed with the equipment inside the house, all we know is the heat is starting to pick up. Its gotten so bad that we can't work remotely from home so have to chose to go into the office or a coffee shop to work. Now i'm not blaming Cox directly because we do have backup internet, BUT coincidentally our other provider has been down for 4 days with no internet. So living off of a mobile hotspot at the moment as long as service there is good. Oh and my gripe. Gigabit internet is not gigabit. Why do other providers in the area offer 1Gig up AND 1Gig down, instead of only 100MBit up? paying a higher price for Gig internet but not getting Gig internet that the others offer for a cheaper price and faster speed.
