Email goes to spam folder
I have a family member with whom I've exchanged emails for years with no problems. Suddenly, about 3 weeks ago, all of his emails have gone into my Cox spam folder. Each time I've clicked on the "This is not spam" button that email has been moved back to my inbox. I've done this numerous times but all new email from him continue to go to the spam folder. I emphasize that I've received emails from this same person, same email address, for years with no problems until about 3 weeks ago. How do I correct this problem? Main question: Is somebody using my account, or just masking their emails with my email address? Why do I get these messages from Cox? There is obviously something wrong here and this is one of many times I have gotten similar failure warning. I think somebody is using my email address as the sender of emails using other software or email client... I get a message with a subject line.. Spam email supposedly from Cox.
I just received an email from a pathetic attempt at Spam below: If you notice this dope has spelling errors in it. Spam with originator address of my own email address
I recently started getting spam emails which shows up as my own email address as the originator. When I look at the source header it shows my email address as sender but has some additional web addressing attached. I keep adding the additional domain information to the block sender list but new emails continue to show up from different domains. Starting to get larger and larger number of emails per day. Do not think I can block myself as a sender to my own account? How do I suppress or eliminate this spam traffic2.1KViews0likes1CommentDrowning in junk mail... HELP!
I don't know how to stop the avalanche of junk mail. I have already fooled around with settings with no luck. I miss important emails because I get so much **. I am being flooded with certain SPAM from gmail which has a user name apparently being randomly generated. With the SpamBlocker I have two options: (1) block the sender or (2) block the domain. Well I cannot block the sender because that is constantly changing. I cannot block gmail because I get valid emails from there. Is there some way to change SpamBlocker to allow keying on certain words in the email subject? Almost all of the emails are trying to push the same products.
