I called Red Dead Redemption 2's tech support after I stopped being able to connect to the PS4 online game. R2 support said I should call Cox and have them open the below ports to help. If I call Cox, will they actually open these ports for me? I have my firewall set to Low so that no services are restricted. In Advanced options, I have PPTP and UPnP enabled. Is there a way for me to open the ports myself? https://support.rockstargames.com/articles/360012932454/Red-Dead-Online-Connection-Troubleshooting-for-PlayStation-4 Check your Open Network Ports PlayStation Network uses the following ports for communication with game servers: Port 465 (TCP) Port 983 (TCP) Port 1935 (TCP) 3478 (TCP) 3479 (TCP) 3480 (TCP) Port 3478 (UDP) Port 3479 (UDP) 10070- 10080 (TCP) We Recommend the following additional ports to be opened for Red Dead Online: Port 6672 (UDP) Port 61455 (UDP) Port 61456 (UDP) Port 61457 (UDP) Port 61458 (UDP) Ports 30211-30217 (TCP)3.6KViews0likes1CommentRouter remote management problem
I have a C6300BD modem/router combo that I am trying to access remotely. I have found that when turning on the feature, my remote management address is10.99.xx.xx which is a private ip. I did a trace route to google and found this: 1 1 ms 1 ms <1 ms 192.168.0.1 2 12 ms 9 ms 11 ms 10.99.0.1 3 20 ms 31 ms 15 ms 100.127.0.176 4 10 ms 9 ms 16 ms 24-234-6-44.ptp.lvcm.net [24.234.6.44] 5 21 ms 22 ms 22 ms sanjbprj02-ae0.0.rd.sj.cox.net [68.1.5.186] 6 29 ms 51 ms 32 ms ip70-167-151-23.at.at.cox.net [70.167.151.23] 7 30 ms 30 ms 28 ms 108.170.242.81 8 31 ms 35 ms 33 ms 216.239.49.89 9 99 ms 53 ms 57 ms google-public-dns-a.google.com [8.8.8.8] The first two paths show a private ip which, from what i've been researching, makes me assume that I have a double NAT problem. How can I go about fixing this so I can access my router remotely? I have no other routers involved in this setup, just the C6300BD provided by Cox connected to the cable in the wall.Solved2.8KViews0likes1CommentNAT Issue with Playstation 4
Currently have a "Strict" NAT type. Trying to find a way to Open my NAT. I'm Using the NetGear N600 C3700 Modem/Router. I have Enabled my UPnP, and enabled DMZ and I'm still have the "Strict" NAT issues. From there I tried setting up a static IP for my Playstation and enabled all the Playstation Ports, using Port Forwarding. Still having the issue. Does Cox not offer a Public IP? Even when connect though LAN I'm still having a NAT issue. It's dropping my connection on my Playstation and either not allowing me to enter multiplayer games or just booting me out of servers.. I would love to hear back on this topic. If anyone has any information to help it would be very appreciated. Thanks, Mike2.8KViews0likes1CommentDisable NAT on Gigablast modem
Hello, .I am having extreme issues with multiple PlayStation 4 devices on the same network, especially when playing the same game. One possible work around I found online was disabling NAT on the modem, however I cannot seem to locate the setting on the interface. Am I missing it? Is it not able to be done? Not paying as much as I am to have it not working.....1.3KViews0likes0Comments
