Uncorrectables on ALL downstream channels. What could be the problem?
I live in Springfield, VA. I have a Netgear CM600 modem and have been receiving uncorrectables of hundreds of thousands and millions in a very limited uptime (< 24 hours). I am having this problem on every channel operating between 649-813MHz. The amount of uncorrectables varies, but is still very high for all of them. Alongside this problem, I have been experiencing network instability and modem crashing about every hour or so. Side note: I have tested a different modem (Arris SB6190) and have gotten the same, if not worse, results. The event log for each modem has showed me a different combination of errors like: -RCS Partial Service -SYNC Configuration Time out -Received Response to Broadcast Maintenance Request, But no Unicast Maintenance opportunities received - T4 time out -No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out Cox Technical Support, including the technician who came into my house, said that everything on their side looked good (GREEN). This problem arose after changing my Motorola SURFboard modem to something from this decade (ie. SB6190 and CM600) due to a small UPLOAD SIDE packet loss issue (1-3%) I was having while gaming online. Never any crashing until now. Between the times when these errors occur in the event log, my internet is lightning fast (besides the upload packet loss issue still being present). >These are the values forDOWNSTREAMwith the Netgear CM600 at an uptime of around 90 minutes. <tabindex=-1>Downstream Bonded Channels Channel Lock Status Modulation Channel ID Frequency Power SNR Correctables Uncorrectables 1 Locked QAM256 3 687000000 Hz 9.1 dBmV 39.2 dB 214828 132675 2 Locked QAM256 1 675000000 Hz 9.3 dBmV 38.5 dB 65347 12412 3 Locked QAM256 2 681000000 Hz 9.6 dBmV 39.3 dB 92489 14832 4 Locked QAM256 4 693000000 Hz 9.3 dBmV 39.3 dB 219991 161237 5 Locked QAM256 5 699000000 Hz 8.8 dBmV 39.1 dB 232634 167674 6 Locked QAM256 6 705000000 Hz 8.5 dBmV 38.9 dB 231551 125552 7 Locked QAM256 7 711000000 Hz 8.4 dBmV 38.8 dB 206782 73208 8 Locked QAM256 8 717000000 Hz 8.1 dBmV 38.6 dB 159890 36191 9 Locked QAM256 17 771000000 Hz 8.7 dBmV 39.1 dB 37129 42243 10 Locked QAM256 18 777000000 Hz 8.8 dBmV 39.1 dB 30994 4741 11 Locked QAM256 19 783000000 Hz 8.9 dBmV 39.2 dB 24894 2178 12 Locked QAM256 20 789000000 Hz 8.4 dBmV 38.9 dB 22073 3062 13 Locked QAM256 21 795000000 Hz 7.9 dBmV 38.7 dB 15069 2258 14 Locked QAM256 22 801000000 Hz 7.5 dBmV 38.4 dB 12652 1561 15 Locked QAM256 23 807000000 Hz 7.2 dBmV 38.3 dB 20874 5991 16 Locked QAM256 24 813000000 Hz 7.8 dBmV 38.6 dB 58248 76267 UPSTREAM: <tabindex=-1>Upstream Bonded Channels Channel Lock Status US Channel Type Channel ID Symbol Rate Frequency Power 1 Locked ATDMA 1 2560 Ksym/sec 17154000 Hz 44.5 dBmV 2 Locked ATDMA 2 5120 Ksym/sec 21984000 Hz 46.0 dBmV 3 Locked ATDMA 3 5120 Ksym/sec 28414000 Hz 47.0 dBmV 4 Locked ATDMA 4 5120 Ksym/sec 34844000 Hz 47.5 dBmV 5 Not Locked Unknown 0 0 Ksym/sec 0 Hz 0.0 dBmV 6 Not Locked Unknown 0 0 Ksym/sec 0 Hz 0.0 dBmV 7 Not Locked Unknown 0 0 Ksym/sec 0 Hz 0.0 dBmV 8 Not Locked Unknown 0 0 Ksym/sec 0 Hz 0.0 dBmV (I assume that I do not have the option for 8 Upstream channels because the Arris SB6190 did not even list the last 4 channels) Could this problem possibly be inside my home? Modem: Netgear C3700-100NAS Connection: No spitters in the house. No TV. Modem combo is connected directly to the coax coming from the wall. Coax from wall is closest to the outside connection. Problem: I'm having some ongoing issues with my modem requiring frequent resets. I believe these problems to berelated tomy 51-55 dBmv and my only one locked bonded upstream channel. I believe this is a line problem, and not a modem problem Attempted Solution: Cox tech acknowledged my 51-55dBmv. The tech suggested that i buy a new modem because mine was more than 3 years old. I will post excerpts of this chat log below. Thetech offered to send a rented one to me. However, I discovered he modem came with a $20 self installation fee, so I refused this option. If the modem was the problem, i would rather usethat $20 to buy a NetgearCM600 or an Arrissb6183 and mate it to an Archer C or A7. Question: Does the tech's suggestion to buy a modem sound right to you?7.6KViews0likes0CommentsWhy don't modem use my new ethernet cables?

A week ago, I and at least two other Cox subscribers with Netgear CM-1000 modems began experiencing NIGHTLY modem resets -- multiple times per night, all at exactly the same time. Two of us are in San Diego, one in AZ. But the real issues appears to be the model of modem AND a recent (I suspect within the last 6-7 days) problematic firmware update. I have a hardcopy modem status page printed on 8/5/19 indicating firmware rev v3.01.04. CURRENT firmware rev is v5.01.04. WHEN was this revision pushed out?3.4KViews0likes1CommentIntermittent disconnects with modem logs (

Hello, I recently just started with Cox and for some reason my modem has not been able to connect to their service. At first I was using a Netgear CM700 that would signal having the upstream and downstream just fine but would be denied connection to the internet. A tech came out and we figured maybe something went wrong with my modem since the Cox Panoramic Gateway worked just fine. He recommended getting an Arris, so I did. I got the Arris SB6190, fresh from the box and the same exact issue occurred again. I have talked with support and they said everything is activated and it should be working, yet when I go onto my account it still lists the Panoramic Gateway as my modem device and I cannot add another modem to my account. There is another tech coming to try to figure it out, but largely I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem with Cox or is this some new scummy practice by them to force people into renting their modems? Does anyone have any advice in getting the modem to work? I've tried power cycle, switching coax cables, etc. Nothing has worked as again all I get are two solid blue lights for the upstream and downstream and a solid white light for the internet.Solved1.9KViews0likes58CommentsSporadic modem drops
I have been experiencing short term (~30 second) disconnects with my modem (Arris SB8200), and have been unable to track down the exact issue. An example of the disconnects can be seen through ping plotter:https://imgur.com/a/QgiFiVi I am also getting a large amount of Dynamic range window violations when looking at my modem event log:https://imgur.com/a/R2bVNrU I'm unsure if it could be related to the downstream and upstream powerlevels, as I haven't found any concrete cases that would show this is the problem (the power level dump is in the attached pastebin):SB8200 power level status I have seen this issue occur across multiple PC's, multiple CAT cables (CAT5e and CAT8) and multiple modems (This issue was evident with the provided panaromic modem/router). I have also tested by directly connecting to the modem, and by connecting via router (Netgear r6700v3). If I am connected via router, I see ~30% packet loss between the router and modem. Now, for the strangest part imo, is that if I am using a VoIP program (i.e Discord) while this occurs, I am able to receive all audio in the chat, but no one is able to hear me. I am not able to do much in terms of working with the RG6 coming into my home, as I live in a second floor condo and can't find where the cable is actually coming into my house (checked all rooms as well as the attic), so I'm unsure of the actual configuration of splitters throughout the building. I would love to hear any input as to what might be the issue, or if any steps could be taken to troubleshoot further1.4KViews0likes4Commentscox gigablast modem inferno?
