Internet Loses Connection Constantly
I keep losing internet connection about every 5 minutes during the evening. It's almost like it resets itself and then comes right back for another 5 minutes. Gets very annoying after a while. I have the following modem: Make and Model:DCI382R It's something wrong with the internet or the modem as it happens with all of my devices (laptop, phone, iPad, etc.). Is there something I can try or do I need a new modem/router? Thanks!13KViews0likes21CommentsDoes Cox Limit the Number of Devices to Private Home Wi-Fi Router?
We have a cable modem and router (separate units) that we have supplied ourselves (that is, they are not ones we rent from Cox). Does Cox limit the number of devices (e.g. laptop, Macbook Pro, iPhones, iPads, Roku boxes, etc.) that I can connect to the internet through my router? I heard someone mention once that they had an issue with the number of devices that their ISP allowed them to connect to their Wi-Fi router, but I wasn't sure if that was something that Cox did or not.8.9KViews0likes1CommentInternet connection slow
Having issues where my internet connection slows to a crawl. My upload speed test will return 0.01mbps. Having a hard time staying connected in online games and even browsing the internet. This happens randomly. Router is a Netgear nighthawk r7000. Modem Netgear CM500 Both are new. Issues were happening before they were replaced.4.8KViews0likes13CommentsInternet disconnect:Received Response to Broadcast Maintenance Request, But no Unicast Maintenance opportunities received - T4 time out

I purchased a brand new white Motorola SB 6141 in November. Everything was running great with it until mid to late January. Since then at least once a week the modem reboots itself. Ive had 2 techs out in the last 2 weeks and they say everything is fine with the line. In fact the one that was out today said that the modem has been up for 22 days. I showed him the logs on the modem where there are t4 timeouts and reboots as recent as yesterday. I was told it could be due to the RG59 cabling in my unit. I find this hard to believe since in the 12+ years Ive lived here I can count on 1 hand the number of times Ive had internet issues. Ive read that there is updated firmware available but everyone Ive spoken on the phone says theres no update available. Is the firmware only available to certain regions? Hello my internet connection has been very unstable lately, it is getting disconnected and reconnected within 1min, it is getting disconnected even from very light use. I live in Tucson Arizona area, I have cox ultimate internet, aCisco DPC3010 modem, and alinksys ac1200+ router.3.4KViews0likes9Commentsconnection optimizer
why does the connection optimizer you have only work on windows xp and internet explorer? do you actually still have customers who use windows xp? (that operating system is over a decade old at this point) or are you just trying to not offer a real connection optimization service. considering you are a tech company it makes no sense why you would intentionally offer services that are out of date. please fix this.3.4KViews0likes4CommentsUpgrade Firmware for Cisco DPC3825
I've been experiencing inconsistent download and upload speeds the past few days. I've done a few speed tests throughout the past few days and my download speed is, for the most part, fine and sort of consistent. Usually about 30-40 MBPS. As for my upload speed, it is very inconsistent and is constantly dropped. Making it difficult to load pages, watch videos, stream, game, etc. It sometimes will drop to as low as under 1 MBPS. It varies from high 20's to around 15-20, below 10's etc. I've tried resetting my router using the reset button, unplugging the power cord and even tried a hard reset, but to no avail. I've googled around and read some discussions and thought it may be that my router needs an upgrade on its firmware. I see that you guys do that automatically, but a few devices may fall behind here and there and I was wondering if that was the problem with my case.3.2KViews0likes3CommentsMultiple technicians and BBB complaint
I've had a total of 5 techs in my home and 3 line techs out. I'm being told this is a distribution problem. There is a representative i have been in communication with due to the BBB complaint. Basically going on 3 months with this issue and nothing has improved. I'm paying for COX Ultimate and intermittently i am barely able to get 10 mbps down and 5 up. Someone needs to actually fix this problem. Look at the entire issue and come to a conclusion. I just now lost connection to everything i was doing and then it immediately reconnects. I have been pressured into purchasing a new modem to the tune of $99. Nothing has improved. I've now filed an FCC complaint as well.2.9KViews0likes4Comments
