Netgear R6300 V2 firmware update?
How do we update the firmware on our Cox-supplied router? My Netgear R6300V2 is showing firmware of V1.0.3.48_10.0.85COX. If I go to Netgear's website there is much newer firmware available. However, it won't update since Cox has it locked down... Is there a newer Cox-approved firmware?5.6KViews0likes5CommentsHow do I get a modem firmware upgrade or determine if it's possibly a service line issue?
Hi - I'm new to this, so please bear with me... I have Cox Premium internet and am using a Motorola SBG6580 modem with hardware version 3 and software version SBG6580-3.5.8.4-GA-00-505-NOSH. I've seen on various threads in the forum that an upgrade was able to be pushed out and service was improved. I've been having serious issues for some time now and am hoping the fix is as simple as that. If not, how do I determine if there is more to the problem than a firmware upgrade? I've been having to reset my modem frequently, the event log shows numerous 'critical errors', most being that it's not receiving a response for 'unicast maintenance ranging', 'sync failures', and multiple T3/T4/ errors (these are all "critical" - there are also some warnings and notices, but not as concerned about those).3.3KViews0likes4CommentsCisco DPQ3925 firmware update? - Sept 2016
Is there a firmware update for Cisco DPQ3925 routers past March 2016? I found an article from March 2016 saying that Cisco patched multiple flaws in their routers, including DPQ3925. I'm curious if Cox has updated firmware from Cisco that it could apply. Here is a link to the article: http://www.securityweek.com/serious-flaws-patched-cisco-modems-gateways My DPQ3925 firmware has these details: - Current Software Revision: d3925-P15-5-c2100r5593-151216a-COX - Firmware Name: d3925-P15-5-c2100r5593-151216a-COX.bin - Firmware Build Time: Dec 16 10:42:59 2015 If there is no firmware update, and I want to re-flash my firmware to do a deeper factory reset, where can I find this .BIN file from Cox? I would like to find out when Cox will have firmware V1.01.11 for C3700. The firmware has been out since May, it is problematic to talk to support about firmware update, most of the customer support do not know what we are talking about. According to the Netgear site, V1.01.11 is available to ISP http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/25477/~/current-firmware-version-for-netgear-cable-modem-routers We are experiencing connection issue with the modem router often, Cox recently came out to fix noise issue in the line but we are still experiencing connection issue. Please advise. Thank you.8.5KViews0likes12Commentsfirmware upgrade for my DPC3825 WiFi Modem

I have the DOCSYS 3.0 NetGear N450 CG3000Dv2 from Cox and was wondering how firmware upgrades are done, since it's a Cox modem and not one that I bought. With my previous self-bought modems & routers, I did my own firmware/software upgrades on them to keep on top of the latest security/bug fixes. But with the NetGear N450 from Cox, I'm not sure if I can do upgrades or if they're automagically pushed to the modem by Cox. The support pages on Cox are so idiot-proofed & simple, that there's almost no useful information for tech types who like to know this stuff and be hands-on with their hardware. How are upgrades handled? Does Cox push them automatically or do we have to request them from time to time? Also, NetGear offers their Genie software suite with their consumer modems. Is that recommended with the Cox version of their modems or not? Thank you.12KViews0likes3CommentsDPC3825 WiFI Signal Becomes Unstable
I have a Cisco DPC3825 DOCSIS 3.0 Wireless Modem. Firmware version dpc3825-v302r125573-131008a-COX Firmware Build Time Oct 8 10:55:58 2013 Every 2-3 weeks my devices tell me the wireless signal is unstable. Resetting the device helps but a few weeks later the wireless signal becomes unstable again. I need the firmware either updated or re-flashed if the build I posted is the latest one. Can it be done through here without me having to call in and deal with tech support?2KViews0likes1CommentFirmware update for my Motorola modem.
