Cox Contour TV Fix for Can't watch channel - Message "Connect to in-home Wifi to watch: Why?"
Disconnect the VPN !!! While using Cox Contour TV from your laptop or desktop computer (maybe from your Smart TV too) The "Watch" button is faded, and does not function after you Left Click on it; the problem is the VPN! You must DISCONNECT the VPN. When clicking on "WiFi" from the home screen of the Cox Connect app I keep getting an error that an error has occurred. I tried via cox.com and received an error 408. It's been going on for a couple of weeks now. I use the Cox Connect app on my iPhone to forward calls from my Cox home phone to my iPhone and also to turn Call Waiting on/off on my Cox home phone. At least I used to do that. The settings for call forwarding & call waiting are no longer appearing on the app. I need to get these settings back. I can still do the same using the features online on my computer when I'm at home, but that's not the point. I need to be able to use them when I'm AWAY from home. I chatted about this issue with Cox two weeks ago & when the customer service agent ran out of ideas I was told a ticket was put in and that someone would call me about the issue. No call. Never heard from anyone and the app still doesn't work. And yes, I have deleted & reinstalled it twice, to no avail. Anyone else have this problem? For a few days now (about a week), the Cox Connect app on my Android device has told me I have an unread notification, but there isn't anything I can see in the app that has messages. Hi, will there be an app developed for Windows Phone 10devices in the near future? I'm assume so, since Microsoft have an universal app development framework now... Cox can develop one code base that can work across all windows 10devices. If Cox management, chief software engineer, and lead software architects haven't made a decision to go on this; maybe the business need to hire replacements.. Hi I have Cox connect for about 1 year now. I always use Cox Connect app to DVR programs. This week it started giving me a error message on my Iphone 4 Set top box not found and the work Ok. If I hit Ok and go to my channel it says I have no favorite channels which I had at least 10. And when I go to Settings and Digital Recorders I get a message Your account does not include a Digital Top Box subscription and it tells me to to to the Cox.com site on details. I have spent about 1 hour on the phone with Cox and they can not seem to help me except to open a trending case. They confirm that I do have the subscription. They refreshed my box I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I also have a Ipad which I did not have the app and download on there and same problem. I also get a error message 102. I was happy to see that Cox has granted access for the Fox Channel. However, I'm still disappointed that networks such as History and A&E are still not available.
