Cox Services. From a homeowners point of view.
In the middle of December of 2015. I was having issues with my internet speeds. I was only getting 15Mbs to my Tower, while i was paying for 50Mbs. One computer on a modem. Wired through an Ethernet cable. No TV. I have had Cox cable for over a year at this time. Upon working with a cox representative we found out that i had been paying for 50Mbs for 10 months, and was only ever receiving 15Mbs from them. Wich may not sound like a big deal to some people. But to me, this is very important. I like to receive what i pay for. So upon finding this out in December, i was able to correct this with a representative. Basically they said. "oh, we are sorry". So here i was getting screwed out of 10 months worth of differences worth of bills. Lets say its $20.00 a month. $20x 10months =$200.00. Wich is quite a bit of money. So back to the main story. In the mid of Decided to upgrade to 100Mbs. I do like to game alot. And have been having a few friends over on the weekends to game together. Also the fiance likes to watch Netflix at this time. So, thus i would say i use quite a bit of internet. So, when i upgraded to 100Mbs i ended up having to replace the Drop to my house. (the cable that comes from the pole outside of my house, and goes into it). Wich i was charged for. Are you f*ck*ng serious. I got charged after all of this. I also installed half of it myself. (the company i use to work for subcontracted for cox cable. NEVER had any issues with them to my knowledge). So. Since i upgraded to 100Mbs. i had to get a new modem all of the sudden. Apparently the one i had would only support up to like 70Mbs. Ok... I guess... IF i have to have it. I will pay $10.00 more a month so i can get what i paid for. Now. on February 5th. I am getting anywhere from 5Mbs to 15 Mbs. It is now February 8th. and i still have the same problem. Had a tech come out today. Who could not do anything. And have been working on this for 5.5 hours. Just today. Not to mention i also took time off my second job so i could be here with the tech. (fiance had school). As a customer of cox cable. i am dissappointed. The service they provide is nothing but a joke. Their techs that have been to my house, Were great. What cox has to offer as an internet provider, is a joke. I would tell you the difference in prices for the 10 months to an exact. But my computer struggles loading 2 google chrome tabs. (i just custom built this tower in December for myself as a Christmas gift, i spent over $1100.00 on just the tower) oh. and i just got done with a chat representative, and informed them of all of this information. and they want me to call a number to talk with someone. apparently cox does not understand i am tired of trying to help them fix their *** problem. After using Microsoft Outlook and also my iphone for many years I can no longer access my email from anywhere but cox webmail. It was all working fine until a couple of days ago and now all of a sudden it keeps popping up that I have a invalid username or password. Both have been verified multiple times and even use it to log into web mail with not problems. We have total deleted accts and reinstalled on Microsoft outlook, iphone email and even the Microsoft app for iphone and all come up with the same problem. I have called cox tech support with no solutions and have even set in a tech support email with NO RESPONSE...... Can anyone help with possible solutions?2.4KViews0likes1CommentMissing Emails
I am occasionally am missing emails. Generally I will read my emails on my iphone and delete the ones that I don't want and leave the ones I want to keep in my iphone inbox. When I am at my desktop I will download the emails to my Outlook Client with the action to remove the downloaded emails from the server but I have observed that some of the email that I saw on my iPhone never show up in my Outlook Client. Up to Sept. 6, 2016 everything work well like it was supposed to but since then I have not got them to my Outlook. Any thoughts? P.S. Iphone uses Imap and Outlook uses POP.1.9KViews0likes4Comments
