Missing Emails

I am occasionally am missing emails.  Generally I will read my emails on my iphone and delete the ones that I don't want and leave the ones I want to keep in my iphone inbox.  When I am at my desktop I will download the emails to my Outlook Client with the action to remove the downloaded emails from the server but I have observed that some of the email that I saw on my iPhone never show up in my Outlook Client.   Up to Sept. 6, 2016 everything work well like it was supposed to but since then I have not got them to my Outlook.  Any thoughts?

P.S.  Iphone uses Imap and Outlook uses POP.

    Please check the iphone settings to make sure that it saves a copy to the server. If it does not, it will delete the emails when it pulls them to the phone. This will prevent other mail clients like Outlook from seeing them.

    I am not sure where the problem lies.  Apple or Cox as I don't have a lot of time to troubleshoot this issue.  What I have decided to do is switch my phone and iPAD to POP mail rather than IMAP.  I think this will go a long way to correct this issue.  I did run into and issue with setting up POP on both the iPad and iPhone.  They both defaulted to IMAP set up and gave me no choice for POP.  The work around is to put in a dummy email address and then when saved you will get a screen that allows you to set up POP.  We will know later next week if my weekly emails I get go missing.  I bet not.  If they do, I will update this post.
