Any idea how to find out when a mid-split is eventually coming to my area? (Gainesville, FL)

We’ve been with Cox 3-4 years and the tech told us the nodes are the issue (intermittent outages) in my neighborhood and basically said we’re screwed. The only other internet provider is ATT and the max speed is 25 GBPS which is far too slow,especially working from home being on the PC soft phone all day. This is affecting my income and sanity. My neighbors and I have put in numerous requests/ complaints and nothing ever comes of it. Are we screwed, does Cox really not fix issues like this? I’ve seen many other complaints on this issue on other forums and well, it looks to be that way (SOL). As a preface: I am a very experienced IT veteran of 15 years. I've worked in every facet of the industry from end user support, to networking to security to enterprise scale everything. I can tell you with 98% certainty that the node which provides internet to my neighborhood needs to be split. I recently purchased a home in Luling, LA to start my family. I moved in with my fiance and newborn child and immediately transferred services and set up my network. My hardware consists of a docsis 3.0 modem (ARRIS SURFbaord SB6190) and a tri band gigabit router (ASUS RT-AC5300) which I use for internet services and the internet package I pay for through cox is the 100mbps download package. Both my router and modem are less than 6 months old. I used them with 0 issues whatsoever in Metairie for about 2 and a half months prior to moving to Luling. Once I moved and my services were up and running, I immediately started noticing during the evenings and throughout the weekends... my 100 mbps paid for speeds were tanking to the teens and twenties. Thinking it may be an issue with wiring or hardware, I went ahead and changed out coax inside the house, coax ports, splitters in the attic, CAT6 cables, coax from the outside coming into my house, etc. None of which made a difference in my tanking wireless and LAN speeds. Every single evening and weekend my speeds are degraded to a point where it makes work difficult (I work remotely from home 90% of the time [and no, business class service is not an amicable solution for me])... yet they would resume normal speeds and become fine again during the weekday. After replacing everything I possibly could and having technicians out 3 or 4 times, I realized the only bottleneck left is the node bringing internet into this neighborhood. This is a fairly recent neighborhood (10-15 years old max) and I imagine when the node was installed there were much less people here and much less bandwidth needed. After my suspicions of node issues, I began asking neighbors to monitor their speeds during the evenings and weekends when everyone else would be home and possibly online. The two other families I checked with on my block all experience large percentage drops in download speeds during the same exact times I do. The speeds resume normalcy during the same times mine do and when the majority of folks who live here are away at work. I have called and created cases with support at least 3 times. Each time I have explained the situation and my suspicions in their entirety. Each time, a tech is dispatched at the latest possible time so hopefully they can see the speed issues but alas, the speeds only drop after the times they are available to witness first hand. I requested that our node be monitored for issues during the evenings and weekends but doubt that has taken place. I have repeatedly contacted the corporate affairs liaison for cox and have been told 4 times that they have relayed to my local rep who will call me (and who never has). I am nearing the end of my patience with this problem and I really reallyneed this resolved very soon. I can provide time stamped screen caps of the speed issues and when they return to normal as proof of node issues. Can someone PLEASE help me? Please escalate this issue to someone in charge in maintenance in my area (70070) so they can monitor the node, realize it is completely over utilized and split it!!! I promise you if someone were to look up the bandwidth allowed by the node here and add up the bandwidth everyone in this neighborhood pays for you will notice quite a discrepancy. I am exhausted from telling this story over and over and begging for someone to do something about it. Do I need to contact executives directly on a daily basis to annoy them to the point of having someone actually look into this and resolving the problem? Squeaky wheel gets the grease after all.
