Add more Ethernet ports with Panoramic modem/router
I recently got the Cox Panoramic modem/router (Technicolor CGM4140COM) which has 2 Ethernet ports. This replaced my old Wi-Fi router (Netgear R6100) which had 4 ports. Is there any way to use the Panoramic and gain more Ethernet ports? I’m open to other suggestions if I don’t have to use the Panoramic, but I have Cox phone service so I assume I have to. My ultimate goal is to have my networked printer visible to both wired and wireless computers. I tried wiring the Panoramic to the Netgear and plugged the printer into the Netgear, but only PCs connected into Netgear can see it. PCs on the Panoramic can’t (wired or wireless). I guessing each of these routers is handing out IPs differently or something. Any recommendations?16KViews1like3CommentsEthernet not working from modem
Hello! I've recently noticed my PC desktop isn't getting a signal via the ethernet cable running between it and my router/modem. It's worked in the past, andsaiddesktop is still getting WIFi (as are the rest of my devices in my home). I've restarted the modem and also replaced the cable to no avail. Also worth noting is the fact that all 4ethernet ports on the back of my router are now glowing orange - one is also flashing. This is new. LIke I said, I'm getting internet but it's not going through the ethernet cable for some reason. I've tried troubleshooting with no luck as well. Not sure if the problem is with the modem, my computer, or something else entirely. Any help appreciated! Modem: Zoom 5350 (Series 1092)9.8KViews0likes42CommentsNetwork ports on router not working
Hello, I have aSBG6580 router which i am using on Cox, i am not able to use the 4 ethernet ports on the router, as they have stopped working. I also noticed that 2 ports are showing solid green light on the interface of router even though there is no cable connected. Really appreciate if someone can help. Thanks1.7KViews0likes3CommentsMore Ethernet Ports
I have thePanoramic Wifi Gateway with 2 ethernet ports. this wasn't a huge issue in the past until my household had multiple pcs that needed to be hooked up directly to the gateway. I was wondering how I would go about adding more ethernet ports? having 2-4 more would be nice.621Views0likes3Comments
