WatchESPN needs to include Cox
Since August 27th, WatchESPN is not available to subscribers of Cox Communications. We who are Cox subscribers can no longer watch ANY live programming on WatchESPN.com (on PCs or Macs) that isn't specifically designated as ESPN3 content (which is basically cricket and Canadian football right now). All the good stuff, college football, basketball, etc, basically anything from ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU, is closed off for us, except as replays. When will Cox restore our ability to watch ESPNs live sports content, as we could before? And please don't pretend you need to see if there's demand for it.7.9KViews0likes12CommentsESPN HD becomes Pixelated, unwatchable during Monday Night Football when on TV
Hello, This problem has come up before, but no solution was posted. Since the previous post is locked, I'm creating a new one. This problem does not occur when streaming other Cox HD channels, for example TNTHD during movies, and seems to happen primarily during the live stream of Monday Night Football (MNF) specifically.Other channels have been checked during the same time as MNF streaming and do not have the issue. I'm having the exact same problem as the one posted here. In addition to the details provided, the picture quality becomes unwatchably pixelated, the entire stream freezes, and the movement is choppy even when the HD is working. Whether streaming on my laptop or via HDMI to the TV, the issue persists. In attempting to diagnose the problem I have tried both wired (cat7) and wireless internet connections and using 3', 6', and 10', 4k rated hdmi cables. I'm streaming from a Lenovo laptop with a Radeon Vega integrated graphics card. Internet speed test shows 261.8 Mbps down and 11.9 Mbps up via ethernet cable. The TV is a LG 55" OLED. I'm streaming from Hartford. As far as I can tell, there is no hardware or connectivity issues that could explain the extremely poor quality. Other channels stream without the same quality issues. Looking for solutions/explanations. Hoping this isn't a throttling issue with a busy ESPN MNF live stream. Thanks!6.7KViews0likes10CommentsMotorola DVR wont buffer longer than hour anymore............... HELP!
How do I check to see which firmware I have. My DVR went off the other morning for a couple hours(I assume for a firmware update) and went from 4-5 hours of buffer time to only ONE measly hour. Id like to know if I can figure out what firmware I have sine when i research the issue I keep seeing people refer to that. Any help is appreciated! :)6.5KViews0likes13CommentsCox is a complete joke
I signed up for TV service last week so I could watch the games this year and get NFL RedZone. Just for a package to watch the games it was a $40 setup fee and $100/month for the service. And the wait to turn the service on ..... is TWO WEEKS! Cox charges 10x as much as other TV options and their service is just absolutely horrible. Cox is a dinosaur waiting to go out of business. Their entire model now depends on the remaining people who are ignorant enough to pay these insanely high prices for absolutely horrible service. Requiring a $20/month receiver just to use their service should be landing their execs in court. Complete, total, rip off. Took me less than five days to come to my senses and cancel my order.2.5KViews0likes2CommentsCleveland area - ESPN Outage! Channel 25 and 1025 NO VIDEO, Audio only signal
I'm a customer in the Cleveland, OH area and having the following issue. The ESPN Channel [25 SD and 1025 HD] only has audio and no video. This is on all TVs in the house, even an old analog only TV connected direct to coax. So much for enjoying College Football today.Solved2.1KViews0likes2CommentsWhy can't I log into HBO Max or ESPN on my iPad
I am getting the error shown below on my iPad which is "Sign In Error. We are experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later" It never works, no matter how long I wait or how many times Itry again. This is not a technical difficulty. This is a defect. I cannot log into HBO Max or ESPN. I can log into AMC, it uses a different authentication method that works with Cox. It pops open a web page. I can log into HBO Max on my Mac using Safari. That works fine. This appears to be a defect on the Apple iPad. I have yet to try this on my phone. I need this working on my iPad, not my computer. I don't take my computer to where I view my shows. I need this working on my iPad. Also, watching with contour is not great. Contourdoes not track where I stopped watching an HBA show and always restarts what I want to watch. I have to search for the last scene I watched when I want to resume watching. Really annoying. Contour is not working well so that isn't a great option for me. Bottom line, I'm not having a great experience with COX and HBO Max because of this. I can't use the HBO Maxplatform (their app) to watch shows. E.g. I want to see if I can download and watch shows while I am traveling. Using contour is klunky. It works but not well enough. This is a major problem for me. I just signed up for a year of this and this is the first week. I amfrustrated. I spent almost an hour with tech support last night on chat. I was suppose to get an email this morning with something to make this work. I got nothing. I am hoping support can get this problem identified and fixed. I have reset my password (always a good thing to do anyway). I have quit and restarted the application to no avail. I've tested on my Mac as I said above and that works. I even shutdown and restarted the iPad. Nothing clears this problem. It is persistent. [Moderator Edit: Removed Attachment]1.8KViews0likes16Comments
