Re: We used to have a direct link to check internet speed now it's not there I did try Edge and it showed the same contents. I also scrolled further down the page, and (just like Firefox) it didn't show anything useful or anything that pertains to running ".. a Ookla test". Re: We used to have a direct link to check internet speed now it's not there No, the URL took me to the same page I mentioned before. I looked for the"Run a Ookla speed test" but it's not on the page. FYI, I am using the latest version of the Mozilla Firefox browser. I'll include a screen shot. We used to have a direct link to check internet speed now it's not there We used to have a direct link to check internet speed on a direct cable connection from the Support Menu/Internet, now when I go to the location on the website, it shows me 2 images that asks to download an App from Google, I'm assuming for a mobile phone WiFi connection. I scrolled further down the page and there's nothing to take me to the location on Cox.com that allows me to test my connection speed on a desktop computer with an ethernet connection. What happened to that URL? Re: COX web site Usage MESSED up for 2021 / 2022 I had the same issue also, it dropped the daily usage totals for the December time period. Data usage starts on the 5th of every month and ends on the 4th, it's currently showing daily totals only for January, what happened to December?. The whole web app needs to be redesigned to make it easier to navigate through the site. Re: Deleting spam articles They, Cox Communications, or whoever wrote the new Webmail application did a horrible job in many aspects because I spend a lot more time every day going through my email to get rid of junk/SPAM emails, which is also a very slow process because the server is very slow. The one thing that I've also noticed with SPAM emails, I get emails from legitimate sources that end up in the SPAM folder, even though I use the "Thumbs Up" icon at the top to let the application know that the email(s) is not SPAM, which moves the marked email to the Inbox. To me, if you mark an item as "Not SPAM", it should automatically recognize it as legit, but it doesn't, it still goes into the SPAM folder. It's ridiculous, I've worked in IT and though not every issue can be caught before an application is released for production, it seems like the Webmail application never went through the QA cycle like it should have, before being released. . Re: Cannot access Cox Webmail most of the time Among several other problems, the new webmail server is very slow, I have to spend too much time every day navigating through the Email folders to get rid of the SPAM emails that I get in the Inbox everyday, and what's worse, my Blocked sender list is growing rapidly, yet when I try to add some of those to the Blocked list, I get an error message telling me that it's "Already on my blocked list", which indicates that the block functionality doesn't work like it should, otherwise a lot of those emails would not have gotten into my Inbox. We also don't have the ability to access the "Blocked" list like we did before in order to customize it. This is ridiculous because I waste a lot more time than ever before navigating through the Folders, which can sometimes take a long time also. Somebody at Cox needs to realize that a lot of us cannot spend more time than we need to in order to check our emails. The one thing that I've noticed is, webmail works fairly quickly at a time when not many people are on the server(s), like early in the morning. Re: New Webmail issues I can't even login on Cox's Webmail email server. I enter my user ID and password and the web app just waits for the server to respond, it doesn't. https://idm.west.cox.net/coxlogin/ui/webmail This is getting ridiculous! Re: Changes to email format As Anne posted, I noticed this issue also, when marking emails for an action, such as "Delete", after taking the action, webmail application leaves a checkmark on the next item in the list that I did not mark. This could potentially cause the deletion of items unintentionally, in my case, a couple of items were marked as "Spam" unintentionally. For the time being, an extra step is needed to unmark the items. I hope this bug is fixed soon.
