It would be great if I could get a new one. The one store I went to said that is all they have refurbished. There is a few more stores not to far away. I will call them to see what they have first. Yeah, I watch all the shows that I have recorded before I turned in my last two boxes. It tough when you have about 50 shows recorded and still need to record everyday. I can't keep having my shows slowly disappear. I can't keep changing boxes either. For what we pay and use their box we shouldn't have this problem. Hi, my recordings were just a few weeks old and my percentage of hard drive usage is only 5%. My recent experience is I recored shows on Monday January 30th. By Wednesday February 1 they were gone. I just swapped out the box in December. A Cox service person came to my place and did the swap for me. I am on my 3rd box within a year. I just read the different threads you have posted. I replied to one of your postings asking questions. I have had a Cox person come out to check my setup. They said my setup is fine. The person told me my choices were to upgrade to the cloud box which I read isn't good either or keep swapping out your box because something must be wrong with it for it to happen. From one of your answers gave me the idea to ask for a different brand when I go swap out my box again. I did read one could buy their own box as long as it is compatible. I am having the same issues. I am on my 3rd box that records 6. I need to check to see if it is Arris or not. I did print out list of receivers to take with me when I change out my box again. I am going to make sure I don't get the same brand and get one that is on the list. Your reply here has been helpful. My question is what did you mean by Periodic maintenance reboot and how often do they happen? Also is there a daily reboot as well? If so how do you change the time on it? I am getting tried of my shows deleting out of now where. Sometimes it is one or other times more than one.29Views0likes8Comments
