Sometimes I will not finish watching a movie and exit. I expect Cox to resume where I exited and left off the day before. Most of the time it works correctly, but some movies on “Hallmark Movies Now” channel don’t resume. Instead the only option is to watch movie from the start, and then fast forward to find my place.
This problem happens consistently on the movie “In Love and War” on Hallmark Movies now channel (I have subscription). When I use the blue microphone to search “In Love and War” or navigate to the Hallmark Movies Now channel and browse looking for movies, same problem.
Why is this happening? Any fix or is this a known problem with Cox software (Contour 2)?
Sounds like a problem with the way Hallmark has implemented their streaming. Does it happen with OnDemand or just the app?
It doesn't happen with normal OnDemand shows. And Hallmark Movies Now is not a separate app, but when you find a program to view, it shows several choices such as: Available from: Hallmark Movies Now, Hallmark Channel, and XUMO.
Most movies when interrupted show up in Saved/For You/Recently Watched.
Problem just happened again with another movie "A Dog Name Christmas" on Hallmark Movies Now channel. Can someone from Cox or user verify this is supposed to work? Thanks.
Yes the Hallmark Movies Now "resume" option appears for 90% of their movies, and it still works for all except those 2 movies I mentioned earlier. Those display "play" instead of "resume" after exiting.
I contacted Cox via email support and they were helpful with some resets, etc. of DVR. Everything works ok except those two movies. I can live with that.
