I want to upgrade my current Cisco DSA321N (which has a telephone).....Phone not wanted but bundled. I want to self upgrade to the Arris SB8200. Sould this cause any grief from Cox? This is doable right?
Shouldn't be a problem. They would keep your DSA321N(DPQ3212) for phone and provision the SB8200 for data only.
It's on the list of Cox Certified Cable Modems: https://www.cox.com/residential/support/cox-certified-cable-modems.html
BBS doesn't want/need phone so just return phone modem and buy the
The phone modem is free so it doesn't hurt to keep it around, even if you don't use it. The only down side of using it is having a splitter between the two.
