Just got off the Cox Support Chat and found out the following:
The outgoing server (SMTP) is down and they hope to have it up sometime today or very late tonight.
There is no 3rd party contractor that has taken over the responsibility of the Cox email.
”Cox is directly responsible for the email issues we are experiencing.”
I was given no excuses, quick fixes, repeated workarounds or anything of that nature. Cox owns this!
So now we wait. In the mean time, I’m gonna shop around for another ISP and maybe cut the cord concerning TV.
Anyone find it interesting that Cox support on this forum has pretty much bailed on all of us?
I was gonna delete this post because of the total fail on Cox’s part, but I’ll leave it up in case this all does get resolved, just for the record.
Same issues with Cox. I have sent a ticket in to level 2 support for three weeks now, but I only use cox webmail, so they should have no excuse
Absolutely, Cox’s WebMail has nothing to do with anyone’s computer settings. It’s on their network only accessible via a web browser. Level 2 support for 3 weeks is simply insane.
