Email icon for what? Outlook or some kind of email program on your PC? Or a browser shortcut to cox.webmail.net?

Taking a shot in the dark here.
Right click on any empty space on the email login screen. Click "Create Shortcut" in the menu that pops up (about half way down). Click "Yes" in the box that pops up asking, "Do you want to put a shortcut to this page on your desktop?"
Done. If that's what you were asking about.

Jerry, your solution works for Internet Explorer but not for Edge, Firefox or Chrome. There is no "Create Shortcut" option when you right click in any of those browsers. To get a shortcut on the desktop from one of those browsers, your must:
1. Copy the url from the address box to the clipboard
2. Go to the desktop, right click, select New/Shortcut from the menu.
3. Past the url into the location of item box.
This creates a shortcut to the page using your default browser.Thomas, a little more detail please, what are you trying to do. The guesses here place a shortcut on the Windows desktop. Are you using Windows, MAC, Linux, a smartphone or a tablet? What OS and what client or web browser? Without that info we can only take a SWAG.

Find the little icon to the left of the website in the address bar, left click and hold then drag to desktop. Done Works on all browsers. See this video for more.
