Why does cox use mostly third party techs. some of the techs who came to my place a while back when i was having problems was as clueless as a two year old.

I'm about to bail on Cox for the recent pricing debacle, but I do have to say that one of the reasons I've hung with them for 19 years is their tech support. Maybe I've just got a higher pain threshold for that sort of thing, but I can't remember ever being really upset with that end of things.
