Problem with Amazon Prime login

Recently switched to Cox Contour from another provide. Since the switch I have been unable to sign in to my Amazon Prime Video service. The tutorial video Cox provides doesn’t remotely correspond to what I see when I select The Prime App, it simply tries to sell you a service you are already paying for. 
Tried chatting with one of the tech support people, who kept trying to tell me that the problem was due to a local outage that only seems to affect Amazon Prime. Desperate for an actual solution!
