Is this just a couple recordings that were recorded around the same time frame or is it a bunch that you know have worked previously without any issue? It sounds like there could be something going on with the box itself.

It sounds like there may be a bad sector on the DVR's hard drive. It’s possible that a recording error caused the stored DVR content to become corrupted. This would explain why you can record and watch new content, but why you can’t access previously recorded content. You might want to think about swapping out your 2-tuner Rovi DVR for a 2-tuner or 6-tuner Contour DVR.
