Out of home

Can someone please explain to me why many of the sports channels I pay for are not available on my iPad when I’m traveling? I just came over from DirecTV and I was able to watch all of them. Thanks.

Why?  Corporate greed.  If your subscribed channel isn't available, the network wants you to use their app.  If you download their network app, use your Cox credentials to log-in.

So if I subscribe to MLB Xtra Innings I can watch the games on the MLB app for free using my Cox credentials?

It's confusing how Cox brands the channels on their app:  TVGO and Out-of-Home.  If a channel is available on the app, it's TVGO.  D'uh.  I'm holding the app in my hands and can see its list of channels.  Do you need to distinguish the channels as "Go?"

The sole distinction is based on your location:  on or off your home network.  Just brand the channels as either LAN or WAN.

How about PAN, SAN, CAN or MAN?

It's just the basic distinction.  Cox wouldn't need to brand 'em LAN and WAN.
