No audio for Red Sox games on NESN was reported 4 days ago. The OP reported 2 days later:
"the digital feed from NESN was the problem and it has been resolved".
It appears there have been technical issues from the source for that channel recently. It would seem those issues haven't been completely resolved.

well, trust me. it isn’t resolved. it seems to be a cox problem because it is happening on NESN and NESN+ late in the game when the sox and bruins games swap out. commercials are silent, too. nobody on facebook is complaining about comcast, verizon or any other cable providers having the same issues.

Do Red Sox game broadcasts have normal audio on NESN for the first part of games? What did you mean by "when the sox and bruins games swap out"? Do Bruins games start later and broadcast in their entirety on NESN with the end of Red Sox games changed to NESNplus? Does NESNplus have audio before Red Sox games are swapped to it? Does it normally have its own content or is it just the overflow channel for NESN during scheduling conflicts? NESN National is probably a digital multicast television network. NESNplus probably doesn't receive an active broadcast from Cox when it's not being viewed. Its frequency may have to be "woke up". Try selecting it as the current channel or last channel before the swap occurs so that the last 30 minutes will be buffered. If you're watching live, try changing to NESNplus, then to another channel and back to it again. Be the first one on your node to select that channel and make audio available for yourself and your neighbors.
You could also try contacting NESN National to ask if they've had any known audio issues with NESN and/or NESNplus.
