Thanks Bruce. I will give it another few hours, then will call Cox tomorrow and see what's up. If I got to cancel it through cox then that's fine too.

Hi Tucson, you will need to have a History Vault account in order to access content from a device other than than the Contour 2 receiver. Register at historyvault.com using your Cox.net email address. From what I can gather from the History Vault FAQ pages, the registration process will allow you to link subscriptions purchased on other devices. If you go through the registration process and are unclear on how to link the subscription purchased through your cable box, please email hvault.support@aenetworks.com for further assistance. -Becky, Cox Support Forums Moderator

Could the reverse be linked? Meaning, if I already have a HistoryVault account, could I link my Contour box to that existing account?
I'll assume this SVOD channel is unavailable on WatchTV.cox.
- CarolLM7 years agoFormer ModeratorHi Bruce, our Contour 2 receivers are already preloaded with all accessible apps. If you have a smart tv you may be able to access your History Vault account, however, there's no way to link that account to your Contour box the way you can link it to a mobile device. Let us know if you have any further questions or concerns. -Thanks, Carol

Okay...thanks.
If there is a bright spot for the OP, he or she did it the right way. Subscribing via the cable box first and then creating an account on HistoryVault to link other platforms.
If he or she already had an account on HistoryVault and later wanted to include the cable box...it may have been more difficult.
