Does SiliconDust HDHomeRun sell a copy-flag certified product must like how Windows Media Center is certified?
I see they have a new ATSC3.0 box but I'm not sure if it has the DRM certification needed...
SilliconDust's equipment supports the CCI CopyOnce flag fine, it is the software that is viewing the content like Windows Media Center. Years ago I used Windows Media Center with my SD HDHR Prime and it worked great. Now, however Windows Media Center was End of Lifed in 2015, and Windows 7, which is the last operating system to properly support Windows Media Center is also end of support and won't be receiving any security updates. Basically- Cox's canned response is asking users to put their home networks and computers at risk running software that is going unsupported and unpatched. As a technology services provider, that is abhorrent.

silicondust also manages the hdhomerun tv app. Cant that be certified as watch-only? I can understand kodi.tv falling out of favor, but hdhomerun app talking to hdhomerun boxes should be allowed...

You'd think but common sense doesn't seem to work with the DRM police.
I know they tried......are still trying but I always knew cable cards were dead. Streaming is so prevalent it made cable cards old news.
I own 2 of their Prime cable card tuners and 3 of their OTA tuners. But there's just not much I watch/record on the OTA channels.
