The bottom line is that Cox is not providing the services that are paid for by me monthly. As I stated COX has a monopoly on internet service in this area.
We are at 500 mbps, should be adequate for how we use the service.
What good would it do to pay for more when the internet drops almost everyday? I don't get what I pay for now.
Have to reboot the modem several times a week & still have issues.
Issues with working from home, watching TV is a crap shoot, freezes, pixalates & sound goes away. Recordings the same garbage.
Why are we paying the same as folks who have dependable fiber?
Over $300 a month & not working as it should.
Multiple times COX has torn our yard apart our house & we still have the same issues.
The new neighborhood to the west had the same service as we do, when they first moved in 3+ years ago; they complained (perhaps took other action) & got the upgrade (folks with $$$).
We are surrounded by Fiber but stranded in the desert of past infrastructure.
Without advertisement of the disparity of service vs the price paid citizens will continue to be ripped off with no support for resolution.
We are paying for Cox & their expansion without getting the services that we pay for; while they advertise that everything is wonderful for their customers.
We have had Techs here 100+ times over the years & some actually leak the reason for failure (old equipment, inadequate maintenance, etc) but have no power to actually resolve this issue without installing fiber which Cox will not do because it costs $$$.
Also note we are elderly (well kinda, mid-60s) Techs seem to think tech speak & fast talk will get them out the door; not knowing I have set up networks & databases around the world & know when I am being gaslighted.
COX has lied when asked & have lied, manipulated & convinced us to install this wireless solution (not a solution), upgrade that etc costing us more every month without resolving the core failure issues.
We are so confused as to how a service provider can skirt the law in regard to requiring payment for services that do not meet the contractual requirements.
Any additional assistance would be greatly appreciated
