Current channel audio mutes when Guide and other background settings are accessed

As of yesterday, the audio feed mutes whenever I open the Guide or access other background settings. How can I restore the audio setting that allows me to hear my active channel while I look for content on other channels? This is a bug, not a feature! (In case it matters, I use the Tivo Bolt combination with Cox cable card and tuning adapter.)
