Thank you for the responses but I have tried all that. Even tried moving the client to a different TV. Rebooted host, connected client, same problem. I tried resetting the modem through cox with just the host connected. I got a message that reset could not be completed, try again later. Same message I have gotten every time.
Not sure about an outdated code or token. The first client box had worked fine until I disconnected the host to change the media cabinet. Actually, now that I think about it, I got the same error message (tighten connections) once or twice in the past, but just rebooted the client and all was fine. Maybe that was the beginning of this whole issue but I can't think what the heck is causing it. I thought exchanging both boxes for new would have corrected the problem, but no dice.
This host is a regular (coaxial) cable-box and not the wireless streamer?
If you log into your Cox account, can you see and perhaps reset your clients?

Have you ever noticed when two people reply to the same post, the first one isn't displayed when the thread is opened by selecting "Latest"? I posted a similar question Monday night about replacing a power supply. It disappears when I select "Latest". But it's in the OP's profile "Activity" and is restored to this thread by viewing it there. Adding a new post has no effect. It still disappears when "Latest" is selected. That's an odd design feature so it's probably a software bug. Since this is the first time I've noticed it, this may be an anomaly.
BTW, we probably won't get a reply. Since the OP's issue seems to be fixed (probably by replacing the power cord), she may not find her way back here again. I wouldn't have expected a different power cord to have had the described effect. But, that's more likely than replacing the power supply of a Cox supplied piece of equipment.

Yes, it is a regular cable box and not wireless. Tried resetting through Cox with and without the client connected. I get an error message that says reset cannot be completed. Host box still works but client doesn’t work no matter what I do.

The only thing i can suspect is the coaxial splitter at the main box. Splitters don't last forever and perhaps this one was becoming faulty. I'm not inferring you're cheap, but cheaply constructed ones don't age well especially after any minor physical impact. Again, this is just a guess.
Also, daisy-chaining splitters will exponentially degrade a signal. If you have a splitter behind the wall plate at the main box...to connect the other room(s)...and another outside the wall plate...to connect the modem and main box...somewhere the signal is degrading to the point of becoming nonoperational on a segment of coaxial.
Pop off the wall plate and describe your splitter situation.

Have you tried replacing the client box?

I was thinking along those lines but suddenly realized I hadn’t replaced the power supply when I brought home the new host box. Just connected it to the old one and it worked fine but the client box still did not work. Replaced power supply yesterday and now all is well. Duh! 😊
Thanks for your help!

Replaced power supply yesterday and now all is well.
Did you mean power supply or power cord? They aren't the same thing.

You replaced what? How would a power supply at the main box affect the Mini?

I can't click the notification shortcut because I'll easily get lost in the weeds.
It makes me feel like the awful moviegoer by asking..."what'd he say...what'd he reply to...what's this measurement?"...by continuously clicking the Load Previous and Load Next links to figure what's happening. The notification links stink.
Step in your bowl of rice? I did see your question before asking mine but since it was 12 hours earlier, I thought I'd "spam" the OP for a clarification. I too am curious about this power supply.
I've also noticed some of my comment would "disappear" but I assumed crystals was just deleting 'em. However, you're right, you have to do some forensic investigation to actually find your post but sometimes it doesn't display.
I did ask for an Expand All option once but I think Cox feels my feedback is insulting. (it is.)

Good on you for remembering "The Sand Pebbles" (1966) reference. No, I didn't think that.
I have all notifications turned off. Occasionally I will receive one for a thread in which I posted, but I'm not receiving notifications for this thread. I posted a while back that I had a little red notification circle that I couldn't get rid of. I contacted Cox about it and, some time later, I received a very nice email back that the issue had been resolved, The Cox Social Media Support Specialist indicated the reply from the vendor sounded like a notification flag was "stuck" and to let Cox know if it happens again. It did happen again and it was quickly fixed again after I contacted Cox. After that I just unsubscribed from all notifications, but remained in Forum groups so that I can still post images.
If one of your posts disappears, look at your profile "Activity" or that of someone else in the thread and see if it's there. Then select the thread and scroll down from the top to see if was restored. Scrolling through all posts can get extremely cumbersome for large threads which is why I was selecting "Latest". However, it now seems that selecting "Latest" may exclude some posts if there have been more than one since the last time the thread was viewed. I may try just scrolling to the end and working backwards. Life will go on if someone replies to a post in the middle of the thread and I don't see it.
I remember your post asking for an Expand All option. I doubt it will happen though. I don't think it's anything personal. Cox just doesn't have much input into adding or modifying Forum features. And, when their vendor has made changes, it didn't always go well. Do you remember the email notifications issue from earlier this year?
WiderMouthOpen, I replied to your post with a thought on the "power supply" the OP replaced. If you selected "Latest" to get here, you may not see it.
