Contour XG1-A
Just got this box. For some reason it recorded channel 2 in low resolution.
It did record another channel in HD
Any Ideas would be appreciated.

I don’t know. If doesn’t happen all the time but has happened on each box twice.
is there a special way to turn the systems on/off? My wife pressed TV and both times each box tried to initiate setup. I just tried it with the all power button and it worked fine.
another question if I may, just for the interest of this old engineer. Are the Client’s recordings stored on the host? If so, does this affect how many the host can record at a time?

Hi Gimpy, all good questions! Here is a support article to help you with powering the receiver on and off: www.cox.com/.../turning-a-contour-2-receiver-on-and-off.html. All recordings are stored on the DVR "host" receiver. When "client" receivers are in use, each client is utilizing one of the 6 tuners available on the host. - Becky, Cox Support Forums Moderator
