Constant Blinking of Live Cable TV

My TV constantly blinks while watching live cable. I have rest the countor receiver several times by myself and have had a Cox representative reset it twice while on chat. This has not helped at all. Do I need a new box?

    Does the picture cycle through flickers or flashes of blue, then white and then normal...then blue, then white, then normal, etc?

    I occasionally get that as well but not constantly.  My makeshift fix is to tune to an SD channel and "Previous Channel" back to my HD program.  I don't know why but switching to SD clears it up.

    Any SD channel works but I use 800 because the keys are conveniently close together.
