Cloud DVR

Have ongoing DVR malfunction since the upgrade. Have called numerous times to report issues with DVR and have been basically lied to . Finally was told by representative that it's a nationwide problem and Cox is not going to give any account credits till they figure it out 😕 in other words go pound sand.

    It would appear COX is intentionally with-holding the iCloud service as I see multiple postings stating they were talked into system upgrades, only to find no improvement in service. I too spent 2 hours on the CHAT until they finally offered me an upgrade, for which I declined.  COX needs to provide the older style DVR that maintains the recordings on your equipment and no out in the cloud.

      It's not a matter of withholding it, but rather getting it to work. They transferred all the recordings over to Comcast hardware and probably having issue managing and routing the traffic. See here. I tried to make a few posts here, DSLR and Reddit about this to draw attention, but no one seemed to care. Now that it is broken though, suddenly everyone is interested. Just another case of Cox not testing a change enough before they implement it. They use customers as beta testers.
