can't pair remote

Just got a contour 2 box with new RF remote. I cannot seem to pair the remote to the box.  No problems pairing TV and sound bar.  Also, mini box was paired with its remote (same) without issues.  After pressing "setup" for 3 seconds, the LED turns green.  When I press "contour", the LED blinks red, green, red.  Nothing happens.  Some buttons work but not all and can't use the voice remote. I've tried restarting the box several times. Unpairing, repairing. Lady at customer service didn't know what the blinking LED meant. Please help.

    Check this link and try doing a factory reset on the remote http://bit.ly/2n5ZbrI. Then try and pair it again.
