Yahoo Inbox - Can't select or delete spam message

I have a message in my new Yahoo Inbox that I can neither select nor delete.

There is a strange icon in place of the selection box that prevents me from selecting the message:

If I clink on the message, I get a warning from Malwarebytes not to proceed.

I have tried moving all Inbox messages to a temp folder and then individually selecting only the messages I want to keep before moving them back to the Inbox, but this rogue message still returns.

Pullin my hair out and would appreciate any help.

    You could try right-clicking Inbox and selecting "Clean your Inbox".  That will Archive all messages in Inbox.  You could then try deleting it from Archive.  If the message is deleted, select the Trash folder and click the "Empty Trash folder" icon.
