Cox also insists the Wireless 4K Stream Player must use Panoramic. I assumed (again) Panoramic could therefore distinguish...and perhaps encapsulate...regular TV programs as "uncounted" Internet packets.
Another poster, however, claims the Stream Player works on a non-Panoramic modem/router. He said he'd monitor his data cap but nothing yet.

For the record, I think there may be some confusion regarding the Stream Player vs Wireless Contour Receivers. The Stream Player is a streaming app only platform very similar to what you would see in a Roku type device. It is not capable of delivering liner TV services like the Wireless Contour receivers are. The Stream Player is designed to work with any Internet connection however the Wireless Contour receivers are part of the Panoramic Wifi/Contour service platform.

I thought I was finally schooled after 10 clarifications on the Wireless 4K Stream Player. Now there's another? I give up.
