Why is the internet so slow and the Cox provided cable modem keep having to be reset?

Internet always slow and keeps disconnecting.  Have to reset cable modem several times a week, even though It’s new and was fine at our last house.  I’m tired of never being able to finish what I start using the internet.   Hanged to Preferred and it never worked, just kept disconnecting.  Went back to Essential and at least works about 50% of the time.

    Since this modem was initially configured for the Cox network at your other house, I'd factory reset the modem for any new firmware.

    If it worked ok at your old house, that indicates a signal issue at your new house. If you had a pro install, call tech support and request a tech come out, if not, then talk to tech support about converting the self install to a pro install.
