According to the Linksys website the WRT54GL router's max speed is up to 54 Mbps., so that would be where your limitation point is. If you need backward compatibility for connecting older tech wirelessly, a dual band router might fit the bill.

I'm sure some other forum members can help with recommendations for a replacement if you need additional input.
