Temporary Fix for Latency Issues?

I had a tech come to my house to check my Internet and all that due to packet loss and high latency issues and was told there is a temporary fix n the way. They said maybe 2-4 weeks. Is there an update on this? Tucson, AZ

    what is the temporary fix? and can it be applied to my area? I live in jeanerette la.

    I am in Tucson too, and after their maintenance last night, my issues have been resolved.  I suspect all the complaints to the FCC and such has lit a fire under their bum. I applaud their willingness to work with us, I just think its sad that we had to literally complain to the Feds for them to upgrade their infrastructure.
