I have the same issues in streaming vids and in WOW ... major latency issues for over a month now. Also decided to power up my XBOX today and had same problems on every game i played (4 different major games) and every one lost connection every 5 minutes. This is pathetic and clearly is a cox issue ... not the gaming companies. Im at the point of disconnecting my service and going with a slower competitor just to have stability. customer service is of zero help ..... running speedtests and resetting my modem isnt going to solve this major issue

Would you mind sending this over to cox.help@cox.com? I'd like to take a look at your equipment in greater detail. Additionally, we may have to send out a service technician. -Kevin

Same here. Past couple months upload packet loss has gotten very noticeable in online gaming. Don't notice to much during normal internet browsing but there have been times when speeds have dropped down to 1-2 mbps. Can be seen on Fortnite the easiest as they have a netstat tool that shows packet loss % during the game. Mine will range from 2-10% on a good day but during peak times will go up to 50-60%. Was told that our modem may be the issue by tech support so went and bought an Arris sb8200. No change but did notice that upstream power levels seem to be very low, 25-29 dbmv, when the manual says they should be mid to high 40's.
- Becky6 years agoModeratorHi Jedos, while I'm not seeing any packet loss at this time, your upstream levels are slightly outside of our preferred specifications. This is something a technician can resolve during a service call. -Becky, Cox Support Forums Moderator

Thanks for the response Becky. What are desired downstream and upstream power levels and SNR on your network? I have have seen upstream up to about 30-32 dbmv but not any higher than that.

- Hey Roman a couple of others and I have been on these forums for 5+ months with these issues. I came back today after a month or so of just leaving it alone out of pure frustration. Not sad to say i am canceling my service tomorrow, its been half a year now of this nightmare. They think we just make this stuff up. A lot of users have posted video proof of the issue and resolving it using another isp or a tethered hotspot. I dont want century link and the 60mb speeds but it beats 300mbs with constant 5-20% packet loss. Ive test run at my neighbors on CL and works perfect. So here goes nothing😔
