yes it works. I would move them to that, but they would have to go through thousands of emails that haven't been cleared on the server or read.
If you are looking for support from Cox you can email them at cox.help@cox.com . I don't have Cox email so I can't test. My main suggestion is to move your users off Cox email. Not only is outsourced(as you can see when pinging) but Cox is slowly removing support of it. Not saying you shouldn't contact Cox for a ETR but maybe make the suggestions to your users in general.
Yeah I definitely recommend it but they are tied to it sadly. I would never recommend to keep it lol.
I tried to telnet into the pop server but it gets stuck on connecting. I think you are right about it being down. I wonder why we haven't seen more posts on this if it's national. I am in RI in that matters. Let us know what Cox says via email.

Their response:
"The switch was done a long time ago, a couple of years now. If it was working up until now that is amazing but yes for security reasons we switch to imap a while ago."
They probably just realized POP was still working and shut it down. Customers said it started about a week ago. Looks like I'm moving them to IMAP or a new email service altogether.
