Panoramic Router not providing Gigablast speed.

Cox Panoramic Router not providing gig speed download on ethernet. Cox tested from the wires from the router to their datacenter and he surely can reach the 900 and 1Gig speed. Anything on the router via ethernet or wifi max can get 500mbps. I am positive it is not my laptop or the ethernet of my laptop. Leaving me to one conclusion, that it is that the router is not capable of proving such speed.
