I have bypassed my router, bypassed the coaxial splitter, hard wired into the modem, unplugged the modem to reboot it so it will recognize that a new device is connected to it and the ping is still unusually high. I have no idea what has caused this substantial loss in connection quality. The problem is exacerbated by putting a load on the network despite not even coming close to the download limit set by my account.

Hi Fivescotts, your modem is still reporting signal levels that are outside our preferred specifications. If you've reconnected the coax splitter, it's possible that the splitter needs to be replaced. If you haven't reconnected the splitter, I suggest scheduling a service call. If you'd like my team to schedule an appointment for you, please email us at cox.help@cox.com. -Becky, Cox Support Forums Moderator
